Barcelona: Fetch Directions and Distance
A fetch is the maximum distance of water over which winds can blow. In the case of Barcelona the maximum fetch is from the south-east (600 kilometres). This also coincides with the direction of winter storms and can lead to large storm waves attacking the Catalan coast. |
