The wrong kind of export

I have just returned from a long break in Cilipi, just south of Dubrovnik, Croatia. Whilst my wife and I were there, her family who lives there alerted us to the fact that a new course is being master planned, taking up an extremely large portion of the beautiful coast there. It is to be designed by Harold Swan golf designers. We find it incredibly hard to believe the positive impact outweighs the negative impact of pollution, land cost increase, elitism etc. It is merely importing a modern sport culture rather than exporting the cultural history of the region so difficult to find in other parts of the world due to over investment in the wrong areas.

Do you have any standard leaflets in electronic format regarding the issues of Golf course development and their impact on the surrounding area and/or any useful information we can send on to the large number of land owners who are being asked to sell their land?
