Golf Course Environmental Impact

I live near a Golf Course and ever since it was built the health of a nearby creek has decreased dramatically. In the past it was full with fresh water that held fish, eels and turtles. There are now only puddles in which it would be impossible for an animal to live in. The Golf Course regularly pumps water from the creek and the creek beds are now covered in weeds, plant and trees because the lack of water has allowed the seeds to germinate and grow. Due to the lack of water less animals live in the area.

Golf Courses are generally considered 'environmentally friendly' businesses but no one questions where there water comes from.
