I agree with the multiplier effect because if the tourists come to Cusco the residents will be more beneficited about the tax and the money (the dollar,euro,etc) but i disagree with the taxes because there in cusco exactly in machu picchu citadel all the things is very expensive .

threatened: the incas were threatened by the spanish conquerors.

thereby: machu picchu was built by incas in such a hidden way thereby that it was couldn't be found by the spanish conquerors.
