Barcelona Field Studies Centre

Getting to Barcelona by Air or Coach

Our online field study quotes exclude the cost of travel insurance and flights to Barcelona.

Making your own travel arrangements can save you money and give your group more flexibility.

The most common way for our groups to travel to Barcelona is by air but you also have the option of using your own coach and ferries to get here.

There are three airports serving the area. Barcelona's El Prat is the most common port of entry but flights do operate to Girona and Reus, mostly on a seasonal basis. Transfers from these two airports are between one and two hours respectively from the accommodation we use in the Barcelona area. A small surcharge would be necessary if either of these airports were chosen as your point of entry. A Barcelona airports map is available: Barcelona airport locations
