To get from Sitges to Barcelona Airport by train, you must first take the Renfe R2 Sud line to El Prat de Llobregat station (the first stop). From El Prat de Llobregat, transfer to the Renfe R2 Nord line and catch a train to the airport's Terminal 2 station. The El Prat de Llobregat station has long been known as a hotspot for petty theft, with travellers reporting numerous incidents of pickpocketing and theft. However, reports from 2024 and 2025 indicate that significant police reinforcements have led to a substantial decrease in crimes at the nearby Barcelona airport, which could be having a positive ripple effect on surrounding areas like the station.
