Arrival in Barcelona - group make their own hotel transfer arrangements
You may prefer to make your own hotel transfer arrangements and hotel check-in. The hotel will require a list of the names, passport numbers and room numbers of all people within the group. A safety briefing will be arranged normally shortly after your arrival, followed by an introduction to the course.
The evening meal is normally taken at 20.00 hours. A cold buffet can be provided for arrivals after 22.00.
If you are delayed, please let the hotel know in advance with your new estimated time of arrival.
The coach drop-off point for the Hotel Subur involves a 15 minute walk to the hotel. Coach drivers may need assistance in finding the route to the Hotel Subur Maritim, and direct access may not be possible during festivals and public holidays.
To get from Barcelona Airport to Sitges by train, you must first take the Renfe R2Nord train from the airport's Terminal 2 station to El Prat de Llobregat station (the first stop). From El Prat de Llobregat, transfer to the Renfe R2 Sud line and catch a train to Sitges. The El Prat de Llobregat station has long been known as a hotspot for petty theft, with travellers reporting numerous incidents of pickpocketing and theft. However, reports from 2024 and 2025 indicate that significant police reinforcements have led to a substantial decrease in crimes at the nearby Barcelona airport, which could be having a positive ripple effect on surrounding areas like the station.
